Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Centre on Thursday, February 21, 2013, Linda Gail Barrett, age 60. Predeceased by her infant son Daniel and mother and father in-law George and Mamie Noah. Left with loving memories are her husband Robert (Bob); precious sons: Bruce and Michael; also Bruce’s father Bruce Tucker; parents Nathan and Margaret Barrett and special aunt Susie Barrett; sisters: Judy (Madhu) Parab, Queenie (William) Ferris, Susan (Ralph) Reid, Kimberly (Gary) Granter; brothers: Edward (Lorraine), Wayne (Debbie), Don (Helen), Nathan (Donna), Chris (Terrilynn); sisters-in-law: Diane (Adrian) Walsh, Mary (Donald - deceased), Shirley (Edgar - deceased), also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and especially her friends from the Avalon Dragon Boat Club and the Bell Aliant Pioneers. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. and on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Service will be held from The Anglican Parish of St. Mary the Virgin Church on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers greatly accepted or donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Newfoundland and Labrador Division of the Canadian Cancer Society.
