It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and friend, Violet at the wonderful age of 90 years old at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, B.C. on February 12, 2013.

Violet will be sadly missed by all her family and good friends, and most of all by her best friend "Tikki", her loyal dog who completed her life.

Our mother had so many talents - sewing and gardening in particular. She had a green thumb and it was her favorite hobby. Flowers galore so beautiful. One of her joys was to make her homemade macaroni and cheese by request and breakfast pancakes that became a tradition at sleepovers at Grandma's house. And we can't forget her delicious homemade lemon pies. Mom was so proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would always say 'I love you all the same'. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Mom had the utmost devotion for our creator, Jehovah God. She would always want to share comforting scriptures from the Bible with people she would meet, telling them that one day, according to Revelation 21:3-4 God has promised that there will be no more pain, death or sorrow - these things will be done away with.

So goodbye for now Mom.
