It is with great sadness that the family of the late William “Gerard” Gushue announce his sudden passing on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his residence in Corner Brook at the age of 66 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Richard (April nee Cowling), Ottawa and Julie Anne, Corner Brook; brother Gordon Joseph Gushue, Deer Lake; sister-in-law Sheila Gushue, Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John William and Marguerite Gushue, sister Doreen Cunning, brothers Roy and Alex Gushue. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to the Corner Brook Lion’s Club.
