Miller, Raymond Douglas “Ray” – Truro passed away suddenly Monday, February 25, 2013 at home. Born October 3, 1948 in Upper Kennetcook, he was the son of the late Douglas and Bessie Miller. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marion Rankin; daughter, Sheena Rankin; granddaughter, Leighton Rankin who was “Pop Pops” pride and joy; brother, Curtis, Bible Hill; sisters, Paulette Miller (Eddy Higgins), Truro; Debbie Hallette (Earl) Hilden, Marion Hughes, Stewiacke. He was predeceased by sister, Goldie Marshall. Ray worked for Brookfield Lumber Co. for a number of years. He was a quiet man who loved being at home with his granddaughter playing any game she wanted. His granddaughter was the light of his life. He also was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Blue Jay’s fan. Ray enjoyed walking, dancing, old time music and his Tim Horton’s coffee. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Family visitation only. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.
