FRIESEN – Ruth Louise Friesen, 76, of Herbert, SK, peacefully passed away on to her eternal home, Monday, January 25, 2010, in Herbert & District Integrated Health Facility. A celebration of her life has not been set at this time. Ruth was born on January 27, 1933, to Bertha and Reinhold Maser in the Leduc, AB, area. She attended school in that area and later graduated from Canadian Northwest Bible College in Edmonton. She worked as a legal secretary. She married Melvin Friesen on September 3, 1960, and lived in several locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Baja Peninsula of Mexico and most recently Herbert, SK. She is survived by her husband Melvin; sons, Murray (Maryanne) (Camrose) and Michael (Lacombe); grandson, Christopher; brother Armen (Audrey) Maser (Edmonton); and sister Betty McAllister (Victoria); and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.

“August 7, 2011. Today I found this In Memoriam page and read about the passing of Sister Ruth. I am sending my most sincere and deepest condolences to the Friesen Family. I would like to reconnect with Melvin. Will you please write to me to vic_85283@hotmail.com. I will always remember meeting you in Bancomer Ensenada back in the late 70's when the Real Estate bank trust was causing you headaches. Then in later years when you visited us in Monrovia, California we had a great time having dinner at Soup Plantation. The day later you traveled back to Canada carrying two huge bags full of muffins. Remember? Then we reconnected again in Seattle.
