It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital in Labrador City, NL. Predeceased by his mother Hilda West, sister Emily West and brother-in-law John Windsor.
He is survived by his wife Sheila, his children Christopher (Heather), Nicole (Jack), stepson Jordan Haines, granddaughter Alana Crant, father Stanley West (Nina), sisters Georgie Windsor, Mary Myles (Austin), Goldie Clarke (Wayde), Evelyn Pardy (Harold), Frances Roberts (Kirby), brother Jody West (Tracey), and many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
To celebrate Stan’s life, a memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Labrador City, NL, with interment at the InterFaith Cemetery, Labrador City.
Donations in Stan’s memory may be made to the Oncology Unit at the CWJMH, Labrador City.
