Beatrice 'Bea' (Finney) Mulley

Beatrice 'Bea' (Finney) Mulley

Date de décès : 5 mars 2013

It is with great sadness that we regret to announce the death of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Bea Mulley, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Northside Community Guest Home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the only daughter of the late Sarah (Fisher) and George Finney of Sydney Mines.
Beatrice worked at the British Canadian Coop in Sydney Mines for a number of years where she made many life time friends. She was a 55-year member of the CANN Rebekah Lodge. She was also an active volunteer at the Harbour View Hospital and Northside General Hospital Canteen, the Ladies Auxiliary of Carman United Church and canvassed for Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Cancer Society. Nan enjoyed spending summers at the cabin in Middle River with her husband Doc and family. She also enjoyed skating and she was an avid knitter, but spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest pleasure. Bea will always be remembered for her winning smile and friendly personality.
Beatrice will be greatly missed by her loving family, daughter, Linda (Terry), Sydney; sons, Joseph (Betty), North Sydney, Keith (Anne Marie), Ontario, and stepson, Stuart (Marina), Dalem Lake; grandchildren, Darrell (Michelle), Lisa (Chris), Shawn (Alanna), Colleen (Mark), Jason (Sue-Anne), Melissa, Adam, Justin, Sarah, Kayla and Travis; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Miranda, Madelina and Larissa. She leaves to mourn her brother, Billy (Cathy), North Sydney; sister-in-law, Patsy, Sydney Mines; several nieces and nephews, Richard Vickers and the extended Mulley and Bernon families.
Bea was predeceased by her first husband, Russell Bernon and her second husband, Angus ‘Doc’ Mulley, as well as her brothers, Jimmy and Alfie Finney.
The family wish to thank the staff of the Northside Community Guest Home and to Dr. Peter Poulos for the professional care that Bea has received over the past few years.
As per Bea’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at Carman United Church in Sydney Mines at 11 a.m. with Rev. Phillips officiating. Burial to take place at a later date at Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northside Community Guest Home or the charity of ones choice.
