On Friday, March 8, 2013, Faye Sutcliffe passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years at the Regina General Hospital with her family by her side. Faye was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Agnes Richards as well as her beloved husband Gordon. Faye will be sadly missed by her children Donna (Jeremy) Harwood, Darlene (David) Worth, Richard Sutcliffe, and Paul (Brea) Sutcliffe; and her sister Ferne Price. She will also be lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren Lisa Worth, Bradley Worth, Jordan Sutcliffe, Madison Sutcliffe, Connor Sutcliffe, Claire Sutcliffe and Jacob Sutcliffe; step grandchildren Darren Harwood, Kerry Harwood and Presley McGregor; and great grandson Clayton Carlson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 115 King Street, Lumsden, SK on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in Faye’s memory may be made to the beautiful St. Andrew’s United Church in Lumsden, SK, 115 King Street S0G 3C0. This church played a significant role in Faye’s life. Faye was born in a farmhouse near Caron, SK. She grew up on that same farm and stayed there until she went to Normal School in Moose Jaw, where she trained to be a nurse. In 1953 she married Gordon and they moved to Regina where she nursed at the General Hospital and they started their family. In 1967, they moved to Lumsden to get back to their rural roots and raise their family. They owned the Snack Shack in Lumsden from 1972 until the mid 90’s. Mom was still living in the valley on her own up until she got sick just a few weeks ago. We would like to thank the incredible staff at the General Hospital SICU who cared for Mom while she was sick. As well, we would like to thank all her friends and neighbors in Lumsden who have looked out for our Mom over the years.
