JOHNSON, LILLIAN ROSE - At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on March 19, 2013, Mrs. Lillian Rose (James) Johnson, companion of Don Mann of Keswick Ridge, NB and wife of the late Martin Lloyd Johnson formerly of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born at Lake Utopia, NB on July 1, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Annabelle (Cook) James. A loving companion, mother, grandmother and sister, Lillian is survived by her companion, Don, three sons; Gerry (Linda) Johnson of Saint John, NB, Darren (Audrey) Johnson of Pennfield, NB and Wade (Darlene) Johnson of Blacks Harbour, NB, 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters; Sylvia (Eldon) Merchant and Cindy (Victor) Hooper both of Kerrs Ridge, NB, four brothers; Gordon (Joyce) James of Pennfield, NB, Robert (Gail) James of London, ON, Kenny James of Texas and Larry (Martha) James of Kerrs Ridge, NB and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Martin, she was predeceased by two sons, William Johnson and Michael Johnson and by two sisters; Alice James and Sharon Wasson. Prior to retirement, Lillian worked various labour jobs. She loved spending time with her family and watching cooking shows. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Chapel on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating. The interment will take place at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery at a later date. Visiting at the funeral home will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Lillian’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
