GRIFFIN, GERALD PHILIP - At the Grand Manan Hospital, Grand Manan, NB on March 20, 2013, Mr. Gerald Philip Griffin, husband of Mrs. Albertine, M. (Fleet) Griffin of Grand Manan. Born at Grand Manan on February 23, 1933, he was a son of the late Arnold and Marion (Urquhart) Griffin. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, in addition to his wife, Albertine, he is survived by three sons; Duane (Carolyn) Griffin of Grand Manan, Randy (Crystal) Griffin of St. Andrews, NB and John (Shelley) Griffin of Grand Manan, one daughter, Deborah (Scott) Guptill of Grand Manan, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Gerald was predeceased by two brothers, Rupert Griffin and Merrill Griffin.
As keeping with Gerald’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service will be held from the North Head Baptist Church, Grand Manan, NB on Sunday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ed Shaw officiating. The interment will take place at a late date. In Gerald’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the Grand Manan Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
