Passed peacefully away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Health Sciences Centre, Lorraine Downey aged 64 years. Predeceased by her parents John and Lena Sullivan; father-in-law Jack Downey; sister-in-law Darlene Hanlon and brothers-in-law Wayne Yetman and Eric Elliott. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, her devoted husband of 43 years, David Downey; daughters Nancy Kelloway (John), Wendy Kenny (Austin) and Kelly Downey (Trevor Hand). Also leaving her grandchildren whom she adored Caitlin, Courtney, Ryan, Nathan, Declan, Jaida, Natalie and Carter. Mother-in-law Doris Downey; sisters Maureen Sullivan (Hughie), Brenda Elliott, Carole Squires (Ron Taylor), Sharon Cullen (Terry), Bonnie Murphy (Steve), Heather Parrell (Chris) and Patricia Cullen (Richard); one brother John Sullivan (Diane); sisters-in-law Shirley Yetman, Wanda Blackwood (Jeff) and Kim Cassell (Colin); brothers-in-law Paul Reddy, Gerald “Butch” Downey (Rita), Dean Downey, John Downey (Sharon) and Perry Hanlon. Also leaving her aunts Ann Fisher and Theresa Elliott and uncle Dean Burry as well as a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 from St. Patrick’s Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
