James 'Radar' 'Hap' Williams

It is with great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend James Clifton ‘Radar’ ‘Hap’ Williams, age 67, resident of Bras d’Or, on Friday April 26, 2013 at his residence.
Born in North Sydney he was a son of the late Michael Thomas and Mary Violet (Buffett) Williams. ‘Hap’ was employed for many years as a stevedore with Marine Atlantic until his retirement. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church, Sydney Mines.
Surviving is his wife Alma Lenora (Williams); his sisters Sylvia (Fran) Jessome, Bras d’Or, Carol (Louis) Stubbert, Florence, Debbie (Stan) Woods, Alder Point; his brother Brian (Jocilyn) Williams, Alder Point, a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his very close friends, he thought and treated them like they were his own sons, George and Albert Stubbert, who were there especially during the past number of months to give compassion, care and support to ‘Hap’.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Kevin Williams and Michael Joseph ‘Joey’ Williams.
Visitation for James Clifton Williams will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Northside Baptist Church, Halfway Road, Sydney Mines, with Pastor Jason Homan officiating. Burial will follow at Point Aconi Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Northside Baptist Church, Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Palliative Care of Cape Breton or charity of choice.
