SCOTT, JAMES G. - James G. Scott, 73, of Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late John and Emma Jean (Hornbrook) Scott. James was a retired automotive salesperson in Bathurst, Halifax and Moncton with over 50 years service and was a member of Mountain View United Church, where he served several years on the Session. He was a member of the Bathurst Masonic Lodge St. John F. & A.M. #27, the Moncton Shrine Club and Fidelity Chapter No. 36, O.E.S., Riverview. In his younger years, he enjoyed trout fishing up river. James will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Rose (MacArthur) Scott; his son, Jonathan Scott of Moncton and his special four legged companion, “Muffin”.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 pm at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, followed by a Fidelity Chapter No. 36 O.E.S. Memorial Service at 6:45 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Mary MacPherson officiating.
