WARD, EDNA - Edna Ward of Plaster Rock passed away at the Victoria Glen Manor on May 6, 2013. Born in Shulee, NS, she was the daughter of the late George and Adelaide (Lovelock) Colbourne. Edna leaves behind her children Dawna Hitchcock (Dale) of Arthurette, Cecil Ward (Pat) of Orillia, ON, Percy Ward (Pat) of Mississauga, ON, Russell Ward (Barbara) of Plaster Rock; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Donald Earl Ward; her great granddaughter Katylan; her sisters Vera Aikens and Dorothy Simmons; her brother Robert Colbourne. Edna was a member of the Anglican Church Women. She was a wonderful church member, a great homemaker, cook, and fantastic grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, and crocheting.
Resting at St. George's Anglican Church in Plaster Rock with visitation on Saturday 1 to 3 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 3 pm from the church. Rev. Amanda Longmoore officiating. Interment will be in the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. George's Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
