MAILLET, JEAN (COURTE) - (1955 - 2013) - SHEDIAC, NB - Jean Maillet 57, of Shediac, formerly of Ste. Anne-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Port Chester, New York, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and late May (Rander) Courte. Jean will be sadly missed by her husband; Omer Maillet of Shediac, one daughter; Carrie Allain (Marcel) of Richibouctou-Village, two sons; Jason Stiller (Meliah) of Florida, Christopher Stiller of Connecticut, step-son; Troy Maillet of Connecticut and five special grandchildren; Ryan, Kyleigh, Corra, Danielle and Shauna. Jean is also survived by one sister; Barbara LeBlanc (Roger) of Cormier Village, two brothers; Raymond Courte (Soley) of Florida, Richard Courte (Doris) of Peru and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jean was predeceased by her parents, one brother; Johnny Courte and "Granny" Carolyn Rander.
As per Jean's wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:00 am, Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne de Kent. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, (506-523-4252).
