HUMBLE-Jean Humble, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. Jeannie was born on April 12, 1930, in Swift Current, SK. She was the ninth child of William (Bill) & Jane (Jean) Robertson. Jeannie did all her schooling in Swift Current, where she also met Helmer Raymond (Ray) Humble. They were married on February 11, 1950, at the First united Church in Swift Current. Jeannie loved her family - she always wanted to get together for fun and laughs. She was always knitting - her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to this day, wear things that she made. She was also very gifted at needlepoint - we all admire the many beautiful works she made. In her younger years, she loved to swim. She loved to cook for family dinners and never stopped pitching-in, in the kitchen. Jeannie was a wonderful role model - she was a strong woman with a kind heart. She always had her family’s best interests in mind. She was there to listen, and you could rely on her advice. We all have fond memories of Jeannie on special family occasions, such as anniversaries and holidays. During their working years, Jeannie worked tirelessly alongside Ray to make their business, Acme Electric, a success. Jeannie is survived by her loving husband, Ray; her daughter, Patricia Whyte; her son, Bob Humble; her six grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Bob Robertson; and by her sister, Betty Roush. Jeannie will be missed by all who knew her. We look forward to the day when we will see her again. “Thanks Mom!”
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So He closed His arms around you
And whispered, “Come with me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful;
He only takes the best!
