MOORE, Marion Sophia “Mackie”– 82, of The Meadow’s Home for Special Care, passed away at The Meadow’s on May 13, 2013. Born July 10, 1930 in Lower Sandy Point, Shelburne she was the daughter of Fred and Edna (Crowell) MacIntosh. Marion worked as a Registered Nurse at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family doing outdoor activities, travelling and crafts of all sorts. She is survived by daughter, Cindy ( Danny) Hennigar, East Canaan, Yarmouth Co.,; son, Eric (Linda) Moore, Amherst; brother, Jerry (Olga) MacIntosh, Ottawa; grandchildren, Megan, James, Jennifer and Chris; great grandchildren; Tyler, Logan, Stacey, Zachary, Lucas and Emily. She was predeceased by husband, James Moore; stepsister, Georgina Wentzell. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Thursday, May 16, from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside funeral service was held Friday, May 17, from Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery, Rev. A.D “Bill” Newell officiated. Donations in Marion’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army or the Yarmouth Food Bank.
