It is with great sadness the family of the late retired Sea Captain of 43 years, Harvey Bailey of Harbour Grace, age 69 years announces his sudden passing at his summer home in Petley, Random Island on Friday, May 10, 2013. Predeceased by mother: Annie Bailey and step- father: Charles (Marjorie) Hodder; brother: Wilson Hodder. Left to mourn his wife Eva of 50 years; sons: Wade (Lynn Hindy) and Keith, both of Harbour Grace and Glenn, London, ON; daughter: Joy (Leo), Sambo, Cambridge, ON; daughters-in-law: Wendy Bailey, Harbour Grace and Shantel Wagg, Fort MacMurray, AB; grandchildren: Trevor, Aaron, Mitchell, Ishara, Nathan and Grace whom he adored; brother: Clyde (Carol) Hodder, St. John’s; niece Nadine Hodder, St. John’s; aunts: Violet Bailey, Petley, Beulah White, St. John’s and Marjorie Bailey, Springdale; also a large number of other family and friends including special feline friend, Buddy. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Rev. Moses Tucker conducted the funeral service on Monday, May 13 from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment took place on Wednesday, May 15 from St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
