ERNEST SAMSON

ERNEST SAMSON

Date de naissance : 18 décembre 1931

Lieu de décès : Kamloops, Colombie Britannique, Canada
Date de décès : 9 mai 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and friend.

Ernie was born in Louisdale, Nova Scotia, but left to travel the world on merchant and passenger ships. His final stop was in Kamloops in 1963 where he married and started a family.

Ernie is survived by his children Melina (John) in Kamloops, Rick in Kamloops, Peter (Nancy) in Seattle, as well as his grandchildren Sophia and Andrew in Seattle. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Burke and Carol Ann Fownes, his brothers Buckie, Terrance, and James Jr, his closest cousin Ernie (Gloria) Boudreau, as well as his faithful companion dog Bentley.

He was predeceased by his parents James and Caroline, his brothers Rudy and James Jr. and his uncle John Samson.

Ernie was a "hail fellow well met". He worked many jobs from bartending, septic, water hauling, fire suppression and taxi driving. In each line of work he was often 'specially requested' by customers.

Aside from all the people and animals that he helped, Ernie's biggest accomplishment was his children and teaching them that generosity and kindness is what truly makes you rich in life.

Special thanks to our mother Judy and our brother Rick for all the care giving of our father over the past two years. Thanks to Dr. K. Montalbetti, High Country Care Givers, Royal Inland Hospital Staff and the First Responders.

No funeral by request.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ernie's memory can be made to the B.C. SPCA or the Canadian Red Cross (Kamloops).

You did so many great things
for so many ... WE LOVE YOU.
