Shirley B. Chute - 89, of Berwick, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Waterville, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late C. Earle and Ida Mae (Pineo) (Whitman) Chute. She had been employed as a teacher and retired from Acadia University. She is survived by a brother, Robert (Myrna) Chute, Berwick; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Durno; a brother, Allison. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation or funeral service, by request.
