O'DONNELL, EVELYN - Evelyn Hazel O'Donnell, 62, of Semiwagon Rd, Barnaby River, NB, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB the daughter of Clara (Wilson) Carter and the late Carl Carter. She was a homemaker and attended the Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Barnaby River, NB. Evelyn is survived by her husband Edward O'Donnell of Barnaby River, her mother Clara Carter of Riverview, daughters: Melissa O'Donnell of Miramichi, Monica O'Donnell (David Vogt) of Victoria, BC, brother: Wayne Carter (Brenda) of Riverview, sister-in-law Vickie Carter of Moncton and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her father Carl and brother William (Billy).
Evelyn O'Donnell rested at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Slumberoom in Barnaby River on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10am from The Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with Fr Dan Bastrache officiating. Active pallbearers were Roy Gallant, Chris Gallant, Michael Mills Jr., Perry O'Hearn, Leo Doyle, Bernie Preston, Todd McDonald and Vincent Craik, Honorary pallbearers were Michael Mills Sr. Chaz Savoy, Eric Lavoie, Sandy Hare and Jeff Somers. Interment was in Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery Fund, the Miramichi Regional Palliative Care unit or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
