Born in Watson, Saskatchewan to Percy and Ella (nee Wenschlag), Dennis served a full tour in the RCAF during WW2, 6th Heavy Bomber Command Squadron 33, then with the Intelligence Service. After the war, he was employed as a brakeman on the CPR freight and then passenger trains. He worked as a security officer at Cominco, in Trail, B.C., then with B.C. Rail, in North Vancouver, as a railway police officer and investigator. He was predeceased in 1995, by Frances, his loving wife of 43 years; his brother Tom (RCMP), in 1966 and his sister Joyce in 1982. Dennis is survived by his daughter Nancy (Mike), son Phil (Shaun); grandchildren Frances and Doug, son Tom (Shelley), grandchildren Chelsea and Shane. He will be lovingly remembered by his companion Doris Allison and family in Kansas City, KS. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 12, at Nelson, B.C.
