Passed peacefully away on June 6th, 2013 in the presence of his loving family in Prince George, BC, after a courageous fight with prostate cancer, age 61 years. Predeceased by his parents Japheth and Hilda Starkes, parents-in-law Sydney and Gwyneth Breckon, beloved sister Rosalind Stephens (Doug), brother-in-law Doug Calquhoun (Peggy) and special nephew Jonathan Breckon. John leaves the love of his life and best friend, Margie (Breckon), his pride and joy, Joel (Janet Collins), Andrew (Samantha Hermanson), Matthew (Carly Beaulieu) and his beloved grandchildren, Amanda, Logan, Emma and El; his adored siblings and families: Herman (Judy), Audrey Templeman (Cec), Noreen Walsh (Kevin), Ted (Betty), Peggy, Heather Janes (John), Cheryl Corbett (Allan), Connie Wiseman (Jon).; the loving Breckon family: Dr. Larry (Ilona), Ross (Robin), Peter (Dana), Robert and sister-in law, Ann Breckon, as well as a large circle of family and friends. At John's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
