Gallagher, Sister Muriel of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul died peacefully on June 8, 2013 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston in her 70th year of religious life. Born in Yorkton, Sask., on November 26, 1923, Sister Muriel is predeceased by her parents, Fergal Aloysius and Mary Alberta (O’Toole) Gallagher, her brothers, Rev. Patrick Gallagher, C.S.B., Bernard and her sister, Marie. She is survived by her brothers, George of Regina Sask., Rev. Jack Gallagher C.S.B. of Toronto and Gregory of Stenen, Sask., and her sisters, Sister Mary Alberta S.P. of Kingston, Ontario and Mrs. Laura MacLean of Moose Jaw, Sask. Sister will be fondly remembered by her family, relatives, friends, and by the members of her religious community.
Resting at Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess St., Monday, June 17, from 2 – 4 and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., the Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of Mary Mother of Compassion, Providence Motherhouse on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston.
