Roderick ‘Rod’ MacNeil of Edwardsville, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Javrins Harbour, N.S., he was a son of the late Dan and Effie (Robinson) MacNeil.
Rod's family consisted of wife, Bessie (deceased); children, David (Deborah) of Grand Mira North, Rhonda (Robert) Etheridge of Edwardsville, Barry of Edwardsville, Sally MacLean of Sydney, and Sheldon (deceased) of Sydney; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be sadly missed and always remembered by the entire family.
Rod was an avid walker, and enjoyed playing cards with friends.
No public visitation, immediate family only as per his last wishes.
