HATT, DONALD "EDWARD" - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Donald “Edward” Hatt of Pennfield, NB, which occurred on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB. Eddie was born on May 19, 1940. He was the son of Norva Hatt and the late Donald Hatt. He is survived by his wife, Carol Louise (Scott) Hatt of Pennfield, NB, one son Paul (Jackie) Hatt of Nova Scotia, his mother, Norva Hatt of Pennfield, one grandson, Christopher and future granddaughter-in-law Elyse Sargent, one granddaughter, Stacie Lynn, one great grandson, Bryton Alexander Hatt, Eddie’s pride and joy, one sister, Barbara Connell of Pennfield, one uncle, Harley (Eudora) Hatt of Pennfield, one aunt, Blanche (Arvard) Tracy of Blacks Harbour NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eddie worked at Universal Sales Ltd., Saint John, NB for 40 years as a Diesel Mechanic. He was an active member of the Charlotte County ATV Club, Gold Wing RRA, International Riders and the NB Antique Auto Club. He was also the current caretaker of the Pennfield Rural Cemetery and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield, NB from where the service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Eddie’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
