Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on July 1, 2013, Mrs. Jessie Ethel Patey of St. Anthony, NL, in her 87th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Piercey (Shirley); granddaughters Dale (Gary) and Cynthia (Dennis); great-granddaughters Danielle and Melanie; great-grandsons Gregory and Evan as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Melvin, parents Joseph and Jane Burden, sister Aggie, brothers Thomas, Heman, Harrison, Gordon, Allen, and Frederick. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service on Thursday, July 4 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church with Majors Dinzel and Kathleen Baggs officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery in St. Anthony. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
