LOCKE, Alvin of the Dearness Home, London, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 21, 2013 in his 88th year. Dear brother of Gladys Acker of Nova Scotia, Millie Starling (Barry) of Elmvale and Curtis Locke of St. Thomas. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Kathleen Kirkey, Elvie Smyth and Alma Wilson and a brother, Mervin. Born in Shelburne County, N.S., on July 5, 1925 son of the late Roland George (1966) and Laura Jane (MacLean) Locke (1997). Alvin had been a commercial fisherman and a veteran of The Korean War serving with the Black Watch. He lived in St. Thomas most of his life. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 24.
