John passed away peacefully on July 18, 2013 at Sunnybank Centre in Oliver, BC. John is predeceased by his ­parents, Millage & Sadie Parsons and his brothers: Mel and Leo Parsons. Survived by his daughter, Paula Meyers (Danny) of Simcoe, ON; his sister, Marg Gerrie of Ottawa, ON; his brother, Joseph Parsons of Gulfsport, MS; his sister, Anne Pert (Ken) of Vancouver, BC and his brother, Andrew Parsons (Sandy) of Tsawwassen, BC. A private family graveside urn interment was held at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. Donations are gratefully accepted for the Heart & Strike Foundation.
