In loving memory of Frederik Godfroid who passed away peacefully on July 25, 2013 in Kelowna General Hospital.

Fred is predeceased by his parents Petrus and Cornelia and his brother Pieter.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years Patricia, three children and seven grandchildren. Laura, Scott and Krysta, Ron (Michele), Randy, Brenden, and Hailey, Shelley (Paul) Osachuk, Ashley and Kristine. He also leaves two siblings Jan (Joanne) Godfroid and Carla (John) Tilley, two sisters-in-law, Denise Keenan, Nancy DesJarlais and brother-in-law Doug DesJarlais as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Fred loved music, dancing, sunshine, fishing and travelling. His favorite place was Puerto Vallarta. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. He was a very creative woodworker and craftsman and a 30+ years member of the Kamloops Anavets 290.

The family wishes to thank their many relatives and friends for their support during this difficult time. We also wish to thank the nurses and staff of the Interior Health Central Okanagan Community Care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Sweetlife Building in Holiday Park, Kelowna on Friday, August 9th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C. on Friday, September 6th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Sunrise Senior Living Complex, 960 Lynn Valley Rd, North Vancouver, B.C.
