Passed away suddenly on August 6, 2013, Mary Ellen (Nellie) Fitzgerald, of Riverhead, St. Mary’s Bay, aged 81 years. Predeceased by husband Nicholas; sons Michael, Brendan (July 20, 2013), two infant daughters, grandson Jeffery, parents William Henry and Mary Ellen Green; brothers: Joseph, Ambrose, James and Patrick. Leaving to mourn with fond memories; sons: Joe (Winnie), Nicholas, Dermot (Helen), Raymond (Sharon), Kevin, Gerard (Donna), Bill (Sharlene), Don and Ross (Laurie), daughter Anne Arrage (Joe), daughter-in-law Bernice, brothers Leo W. Green and Ed Miller; sisters: Jane, Hannah and Margaret, 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Thursday, August 8, from 2 – 4pm (FAMILY ONLY); 7 – 9pm and Friday, August 9, from 2 – 4pm; 7 – 9pm (No visitation on Saturday). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 10, at 10:30 p.m., at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Riverhead. Burial to follow.
