Donald Percy Smith, aged 76 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Padre Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Legion Rites will be conducted by Chuck MacMillan of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59. Don was born in Dafoe, SK on August 27th, 1936 and was the youngest of 3 children born to Reg and Olive Smith. In 1961 he married Ingrid Krikke. In 1963, they moved to Moose Jaw where he has resided until his passing. Don worked for Kalium Chemicals for 35 ½ years. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Doug and sister, Ruth. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Ingrid; son, Dan (Debbie); daughter, Gloria (John) Edgar; grandchildren: Lindsay (Zack) MacGregor, Melissa Edgar, Courtney (Dave) Belanger and Matthew Hojenski; great-grandson, Willem MacGregor; sisters-in-law, Florence Smith and Ruth Avery; as well as numerous other relatives.
