September 6, 1926 - August 18, 2013. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, in the presence of his loving son, on August 18, 2013, Andrew Francis Fitzpatrick of St. John’s (formerly of Great Paradise and Freshwater, Placentia Bay). Predeceased by his wife Betty (2010), his son Daryl (1978), his parents Andrew and Emma, his brothers Bill and Donald and his sister Mary Turner. Left with fond and loving memories are his son Donald and wife Angie, and five precious grandchildren Connor, Aiden, Brendan, Sean and Emma. Also left to mourn, brothers-in-law Bill and Harold Penney, Bruce Linton and John Devereaux, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews across Canada and the United States, and special friends Mike and Eileen Murray and the Beresford family of Freshwater. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. At Andy’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s on Tuesday, August 20 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday, August 21 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater, Placentia Bay on Thursday, August 22 at 11:00am.
