Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on July 19, 2013, Mrs. Veronica Dempsey of Roddickton, NL, in her 75th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Elizabeth (Rene), Peter Jr., John, Margaret, Theresa, Cecilia (Mark), and Timothy; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Amelia and Ellen Ann, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Peter. Visitation took place at the Roman Catholic Church in Roddickton from where the funeral mass was held on Wednesday, July 24 with Fr. Vitus officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Roddickton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
