His gentle spirit will forever be remembered and missed by his friends and family. Born in Grandview, Manitoba, he served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy for twenty years. Beloved husband of fifty years to Sandra (nee Thompson), beloved father to Krista, cherished grandfather to Phelan, Sahara, Sebastian and Aurora; great-grandfather to Trinity and Lilliauna; dear brother to Edna, Joan, Leslie(Buddy), Edward and Bill. Howie was laid to rest in Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery, Ontario on August 3, 2013.
