We, the family of Elizabeth MacMullin 'Libby' regret to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She passed into heaven with the angles at Miners Memorial Manor on Aug. 21, 2013.
She was predeceased by her husband, John (1990), her daughter, Jeanette (1954), two grandsons, her brothers, Eddie and Billy Forrest, sister, Margaret Fraser and many stepbrothers and stepsisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her five children, John, James (Joanne), Melvin (Sharon), Charlotte (Don), Irene (Gordon); eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren as well as her niece, Clare MacMullin.
Special thanks to Dr. Kohlsmith and the staff of Miners Memorial Manor for the comfort and care over the past three years that they gave to our mother.
Visitation will take place Sunday, Aug. 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sydney Mines, with burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or to a charity of choice.
