Passed away peacefully at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013 at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Harry Joseph Hodder, two sons: Joe Hodder of Stephenville, Danny Hodder of Labrador City, her seven daughters: Annette Hodder (Charlie Chaisson) of Stephenville, Gladys (Sean) Sparkes of Ontario, Joan Hodder of Nova Scotia, Pauline (Henry) Pilgrim of Kitchener, Ontario, Lorraine (Alfred) Park of MacIvers, Linda Hodder of Stephenville, Theresa (Alphonsus) Hynes of Port au Port, one brother Francais Benoit of Piccadilly, two sisters: Pauline Hinks and Mary Benoit, both in Prince Edward Island. Also leaving to mourn are her 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her home care provider Tanya Childs and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Peter, Anthony, Harry, Matt, Joe, her sisters Jean Benoit, Patsy Benoit and Margaret Felix. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 7 - 9 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 6th at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen’s Parish on West Street in Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Palliative care unit.
