After a short but courageous battle with cancer, Maureen passed away peacefully Wednesday September 4 2013, with loving family by her side. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 36 years Ron J Sevigny; their daughters Roberta Carmen Renee Miranda (Curtis Martin) and Jessica Dawn Sevigny (Tyler Boisvert); her two grandsons Aubrey Elijah and Tylor Nolan; her brothers Rick Alexander, Douglas Calvin (Fern), Roland George (Gale), Tommy Warren (Shannon), John Scott (Jean),Chris J (Carol); her sisters Peggy Leah, Lorilyn Sophie, Penny Dawn (Rob Langford) Cathy Joan, Lynnelle Marge (Kevin Walters); her nieces and nephews Carrie Celeste (Ben Sawa) and daughters Melaina and Lucy, Scott Alexander, Alex (Spider) Laliberte, Evan Daniel, Morgan Elizabeth Reid, Riley Ingrahm Alfred, Tommy John Scott, Matthew Jeffery Thomas (Cora) Andrew Tyler (Lisa) Michael Benjamin, Cheyanne Angela Rae (Eric Miller) Hailey Dawn Marie, Magann Rae-Lyn, Steven Mikael (Jamie) and son Evan, Jordan Alex (Katie) and daughter Olivia, Erin Leanne (Clint Hildebrand) and children Danika, Rylan and Markus, Dustin George Willfred and sons Nick and Alex, Nathan Darrell (Marine Pilon) Shea Rylan (Carissa), Shannon Dawn ( Cory Shutte) and daughter Sunny, Cody Gray (Amber), Shane Grey, Clinton Charles and daughter Syan, Kevin Thomas and Brooklynn Cherise; her sisters-in-law Eleanor (John Stagg), Lillian (Ron Blackwell), Rose Lucas; her brother-in-law Dave (Shelley); nieces and nephews-in-law Suzanne and son Dustin, Adeline and sons Jesse, Gary and Warren, Cecile and children Danielle, Charlie and Malcolm, Michelle (Richard Beaulac) and daughters Meagan and Chantelle, Chaun (Kendra) and children Brennan and Sara, Melissa, Miranda, Beth, Wade, Shannon, Rick and Cindy. Maureen was predeceased by her parents George and Pauline Sutherland; her sister Margot Colleen Sutherland; her brothers-in-law Vince Pilon, Mike Kodiak; her niece Desiree Alexandra Sutherland and nephew Anthony Sutherland; her parents-in-law Romuald and Eunice Sevigny; brother-in-law Richard Sevigny ( uncle Dickie) and sister-in-law Betty Sevigny. The family would like to send a special thank you to Shannon, Tom, Penny and Shannon and all the nurses and physicians that cared for Maureen at RUH 6200, 6100, The Cancer Center and 5th floor at Victoria hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Pastor Dennis Serfas will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of Christus, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society.
