GARVEY, LEONA FRANCES - At the Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 Leona Frances Garvey, passed away peacefully. Born in Hardwood Ridge on December 24th, 1929, daughter of the late Francis (Clara Fidler) Farrah. Leona is survived by her children, Jennifer Hargrove (Timothy Oickle), Suzanne (David J.) Fanjoy, Laurie (Elizabeth) Garvey and Michael Garvey; sister, Cheryl Dickinson; brother Michael (Darlene Knox) Fidler; grandchildren, Joel Garvey, Brandi Hargrove, Christian Copeland, Justin Caudwell, Cetara Copeland, Rebecca Garvey and Whitley Copeland; great grandchildren, Madison and Noelle Hargrove; many nieces and nephews; special niece, Tanya Dickinson. Leona loved her family, she loved the outdoors, her garden, bingo and her church. Predeceased by her husband Christopher in 2007; daughter, Sara Ruth Clara Garvey; sister, Constance Bowen, infant Marilyn June; and brother in-law Roland Dickinson.
Family will receive comfort form the Chipman Funeral Home (339-6612) with visitation on Monday, September 9th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Cremation will take place prior to the Funeral service which will be celebrated from Saint Augustine’s Anglican Church, Chipman on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Philip Pain and Rev. John Cathcart officiating. Interment will be made in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery following the service.
