Emil was born May 30, 1925 at Gerald, Saskatchewan to Martin and Mary Anne Weselak, (nee URZADA). He passed away July 12, 2013 in the Dawson Creek Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Jack and Jerry, and sister Margaret Delainey.
In the spring of 1930, Martin, his son Jack, and friend Tom Swedja came to the Peace River area to acquire farmland. Mary, Margaret, Jerry, and Emil came to the Peace River later that year. They lived in a tent until the house was finished, just in time for winter.
Emil attended the Willowbrook School. He later farmed in the Bessborough area, until retiring and moving to Dawson Creek.
Emil was remembered in a graveside service on July 18th, 2013. He was buried in Brookside Cemetery Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
