HOVEY, SHAUN MELVIN - The passing of Shaun Melvin Hovey, husband of Sarah (Woodworth) Hovey of McNamee, NB occurred on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on March 18, 1979 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of Melvin and Brenda (Storey) Hovey. Shaun enjoyed spending time with family and being outdoors especially biking, hunting and fishing. He worked for the J.D. Irving Mill in Doaktown, NB. In addition to his loving wife and parents, Shaun is survived by his son, Keenan, at home; brother, Andrew Hovey (Sherry) of Parkers Ridge, NB; maternal grandparents, Arvel and Alfreda Storey of Grand Lake Road, NB; chosen grandparents, Darrell and Marina O'Donnell of Carroll's Crossing, NB; mother-in-law, Patricia O'Donnell of Carroll's Crossing, NB; and his best furry friend, Missy. Shaun was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Malcolm Hovey and Winnifred Munn; chosen grandparents, Harry and Peg Lynch.
Visitation will be at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor David Williston officiating. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville, NB.
