Gallant, Laverne - The death occurred at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, on Sunday, October 13, 2013, of Laverne (Buchanan) Gallant, of Belmont, aged 63 years. Born in Conway, she was the daughter of the late John “Jack” Buchanan and Helen (Walfield) Dyment. Survived by her loving partner of 32 years Ernest Inman; daughter Tammy (Stephen) Ahearn, Borden; son Troy (Tabitha) Gallant, Summerside; step-children John (Marlene) Inman, Summerside; Brian (Caroline) Inman, Summerside; Duane (Lisa) Inman, Red Deer, AB; grandchildren Skyler and Koraleigh Ahearn; Jordan and Clark Gallant; step-grandchildren Olivia, Jamie, Jillian, Jesse and Damon Inman, Jodi (Nicholas) Sharkey; mother-in-law Geraldine Inman, Crapaud; brothers and sisters Vivian Paugh, Summerside; John (Diana) Buchanan, Wilmot; Geraldine Buchanan, Summerside; Darrell (Theresa) Dyment, Summerside; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her step-father Cecil Dyment; sisters Kathleen Palmer, Florence Culleton and Carol Collicutt; and by brothers and sisters George Jr., Leonard Joseph, Linda Lou, and Reby Margaret Buchanan in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Lot 16 United Church Cemetery.
