It is with deep sadness that we the family of Euella Knox announce her peaceful passing on Oct. 11, 2013 at home.
Born in Sackville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Hester (Esterbrooks) McFee.
Euella was very involved in Scouts Canada, she was a member of Christ The King Church, Sydney, and was a member of the local IODE, she also loved the church guild and church choir. She was a very talented woman. She loved painting, quilting, and smocking, and any craft she touched came out beautifully. Euella also took great pride in her large family and most enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Euella is survived by her daughters, Julia Knox-Niles (Norman) and Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' (Idres) James; sons, Michael (Virginia), Steven (Marilyn), Russell (Linda), Ronald (Darlene), and Jeff; sisters, Jenny, Mary-Lou and Barbra. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents. Euella was predeceased by her husband, George Douglas Knox, son, Robert Douglas Knox and brother, Stewart McFee.
Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to a funeral service which will be held on Oct. 19, 2013, at 3 p.m. In the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Kent officiating. Private family burial to take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Euella's memory can be made to an SPCA of one's choice.
