Mosher, Kendall A. – age 90 years of Cambridge Station; passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital on October 16, 2013. Born in New Germany on August 2, 1923; he was the son of the late Annis and Leta (Waterman) Mosher. Kendall served in the Army from 1942 until 1945, serving overseas in England and Europe; and was a member of the 7 Brigade Workshop RCEME. He worked for many years at the LaHave Pulp Mill in New Germany, New Germany Fruit Co. and retired from the New Germany Post Office in 1988 as postmaster. Kendall was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch #102 in New Germany, the Cambridge United Baptist Church, the F.S.N.A, the Heritage Club and the Camro Place Card Players Club. Above all, the great joy in his life was the love he had for his grandchildren and all the proud moments he shared with them on their accomplishments. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 24 years Phyllis (Steele) Mosher; daughters Paulette Henebury (Carl) of Bridgewater and Margo Fleury (Joe) of Westville; brother Carl Mosher of New Germany; sister Audrey Veinot of Bridgewater; twin sister Kathleen Trethewey of New Germany; also by his grandchildren Adam Henebury, Ashley Fleury, Danielle Fleury and Paige Fleury. Predeceased by his first wife Minola (Wentzell); son Malcolm; sister in law Dorothy Mosher; brothers in law Robert Veinot and Reginald Trethewey. In keeping with his wishes, Kendall had requested that his remains be donated to the Dalhousie University for Medical Research. A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 3pm from the Cambridge United Baptist Church with Rev. John Beers and Rev. Dr. Judy Saunders officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation on NS, Victorian Order of Nurses or the Cambridge United Baptist Church.
