Gladys Tapley

TAPLEY, GLADYS PURDY - Oct 7, 1910 - October 25, 2013 - Glady's family is saddened to announce her passing on Oct. 25th, 2013. She shared a wonderful 103rd birthday with family and friends, and then it seemed that her tired body wanted to go to her reward.
Gladys was the daughter of the late George and Purdy Sowers of Sheffield, NB. Gladys lived most of her married life in Ripples and grew to love the community and its people. She enjoyed attending all community functions and visiting the people. She was Co-Founder of the Four Lakes Senior Citizen's Club in Lakeville Corner where she enjoyed many Monday afternoons with friends.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Gibson (John Anderson), Helen Moon, Dale McDowell (Lyle), nine grandchildren, Brian Guislain, Gary Gibson, Kevin Gibson, Pamela Partridge, Shelley Davidson, Bob Moon, Lori Moon, Rhonda Harvey, Darlene Price, 18 great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by, her wonderful husband Vernon Tapley, her cherished daughter Bernice Brown, and her siblings, Bessie Wood, Ethel MacLean, beloved twin Sister Geraldine Patterson, Charles Sowers, Basil Sowers, and infant brother George, son-in-law, Sheridan Gibson
Thanks to the staff for the excellent care provided by the Pine Grove Nursing Home.
Visitation will take place on Sunday evening from 6 to 8pm at the United Pentecostal Church in Ripples and where Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM Monday, October 28th, 2013. Interment will take place in Ripples Community Cemetery. A reception to follow in the fellowship room. For those who wish, donations made to the Ripples Community Cemetery or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.hoggfunerals.ca
