ARMSTRONG, WALTER - Walter Murray Armstrong of Chipman, NB passed away at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital, Fredericton, surrounded by his family on October 27th, 2013 at the age of 77. Walter was born in Minto, NB on June 24th, 1936, son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Mercer) Armstrong. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Myra (Hare), their children, Gary (Jennifer) of Coal Creek, Barry (Susan) of Chipman; Cora-Lee (David) Parkhill of Quispamsis; sister, Mary Fulton of Saint John; brothers, Bruce (Maridel) of Saint John and Bennett (Roberta - Bunny) of Saint John; mother-in-law, Kathleen Glenn; sister-in-law, Brenda Hare; grandchildren, Chelsie, Colin, Kristen, Michael and Derek; special friend of our family, Shauntell LeBlanc; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Dora Quigley; brother, Reggie; brothers-in-law, Osborne (Bun) Hare, Carl Fulton and William Quigley. A special thank you to the nurses on the Palliative Care Unit at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital and the Oromocto Palliative Care Unit.
Visitation will be held at the Chipman Funeral Home (339-6612) on Wednesday, October 30th, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Walter’s life will be held at the Chipman Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Chipman Fire Department or the Chipman Youth Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family. www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
