Passed away peacefully at Lions Manor Nursing Home in Placentia, on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at the age of 97 years. Originally from Merasheen, Veronica came from a loving family. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Maurice and her son Gerard. Leaving to mourn her three children: John (Marilyn), Mary Harkaway (Michael) and Alice Kennedy (Myron). Her grandchildren: Vanessa Croucher (Trevor), John McCrowe, Kristen McCrowe, Sandra Harkaway Power (Andrew), Mark McCrowe and Christopher McCrowe. Her great-grandchildren: Hunter and Julie Croucher; and Samuel and Maxwell Harkaway Power. Two nieces: Mary Walsh and Rita Speed; and one nephew Raymond Pittman. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday from 6:00pm-9:00pm, and Tuesday from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to take place from Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Time to be announced. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Placentia.
