SCHULTZ: Ervin Schultz, age 87, restfully passed away on October 11, 2013 at the Swift Current Care Centre. A memorial service was held on October 26, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Born September 26, 1926, Ervin Schultz, son of John and May Schultz, was the second youngest of eleven children; four brothers and seven sisters. Ervin grew up in the Niedpath district on his family’s homestead. He developed a strong love for farm life. He was an active cattleman and horseman, with a passion for agriculture. He later fell in love with his beautiful wife, Ethel Sartison, of Scottsburg, SK. They were married October 14th, 1945 and continued to farm in the Niedpath district. Shortly after, a family followed consisting of three sons, Robert, Douglas and Roy. Ervin and Ethel began looking for answers surrounding life and God. They found their answers with Jehovah’s Witnesses. Ervin was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1953. He loved discussing Bible scriptures, highlighting Jehovah God’s promise of a paradise earth. Ervin thrived to have a strong work ethic and focused on family, the farm and Bible teachings. He was a loving husband to his wife, Ethel, sons Robert (Yolande), Douglas (Liz) and Roy; a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed and remembered by his family, neighbours and friends.
