COLLETTE, BERNARD EDMOND - 1930 - 2013 - Bernard Collette, 83, of Bouctouche passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013. He was married to Emma (Belle-Isle) Collette. Born in Bouctouche on July 3rd, 1930, he was the son of the late Edmond and the late Marie (LeBlanc) Collette. Bernard was a kind and gentle man, he worked with the public most of his life as owner and operator of the Texaco Garage in Bouctouche. He was also a past member of the Lions and Rotary Clubs of Bouctouche. Being a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, he will be sadly missed by his wife Emma, daughter Lise Collette-Lee (Allan) of Dieppe and grandchildren; Aiden and Brynne. He also leaves to mourn his three sisters; Dolinda Collette of Mont St-Hilaire, QC, Edmonde Brondex of Gatineau, QC, Marie-May Collette of Moncton, his four brothers; Médard (Huberte) and Ulric (Cécilia) both of Moncton, Conrad (Jeannine) of Dieppe, Jean-Clovis of Saint-Edouard de Kent, one sister-in-law, Jacqueline Collette of Moncton, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, André Zénon and Lomer.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday, November 15th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday, November 16th, 2013 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Bernard’s memory donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
