Chisholm, Katey Jane – Brookfield

Chisholm, Katey Jane – Brookfield, passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, on November 26, 2013. Born in Yarmouth on January 14, 1976, she was a daughter of the late David A. and Mary Bruce (Wilson) Fisher. Katey attended Brookfield Memorial and Brookfield Junior High Schools. She graduated from C.E.C. where she had been a member of the school band. Katey attended Success Business College and Lucien’s School of Beauty in Truro. She was a member of the staff of Signature Styles, Truro.

Katey is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Chloe; brothers, Jamie, Halifax; P.J., Shortt’s Lake; sisters-in-law, Jeannette Decker, Burnside; Tracey Fisher, Shortt’s Lake; nieces, Samantha, Natalie, Courtney, Hayley, Maggie; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Linda Chisholm, Pictou.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Knox United Church, Brookfield, Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Brookfield. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

Katey appreciated the support of all her family and of the community during her illness. Sincere thanks to Dr. Rayson and Helen, Dickson Centre, Halifax; the wonderful compassion of Dr. Cortney Smith, Dr. Dave Henderson, Sue Gibbon and all the Palliative Care team.
